The loss of a loved one can leave you with a lot of unanswered questions, feelings of confusion, anxiety and grief that can make an already upsetting time difficult to manage.

Here at Dawson and Hollis we promise to guide you through all aspects of a funeral with dignity, compassion and respect. we are available 24 hours a day to offer you care and support every step of the way.

At Dawson & Hollis our professionally trained staff are on hand to discuss all the aspects of planning a funeral. We can guide you through the difficult process of registering the death and completion of all the necessary documents, along with the planning of the funeral and liaising with all third parties on your behalf. Once all the arrangements are in place, we will deal with all additional services such as the booking of a minister or celebrant. Our funeral director will also be on hand to help throughout the arrangement, as well as providing support throughout and after if needed.

We are always committed to providing the highest standard of care to our clients. When your loved one passes away, our fully trained staff along with our state of the art private ambulance will be on hand to bring them into our care. Whether it is from a home address, hospital or nursing home, we are here 24 hours a day to assist you in a discreet and dignified manner. Once with us, our dedicated team can assist in the preparation of your loved one including embalming if required, dressing them in their own clothes or in a gown provided by us. Our staff can then be there to support you and your family in coming to our Chapel of Rest/Family Room to spend time with your loved one. You are free to visit the chapel any day any time up until the morning of the funeral, although we do ask you to let us know when you would like to visit as we may have other families also using the chapel.

On the day of the funeral we will provide a modern hearse to take your loved one to the place of service and then onto the crematorium or cemetery, as well as all the necessary staff. Alternative vehicles are available on request and at an additional cost. Please note that if a horse drawn funeral is booked, we will still provide a motor hearse to accompany the funeral cortege. This can also be used to convey any floral tributes.

After the service or burial, any limousines provided will escort the family and friends back to a local address.
